Oppo has today taken to Weibo to announce the company’s first true wireless earbuds — Oppo Enco Free. The company has also confirmed that the new TWS earphones will get launched on 26th December, along with the Oppo Reno 3 series smartphones.

The company has also shared renders of the product, confirming that it will be available in three color options — White, Pink, and Black. Looking at the design, the Oppo Enco Free seem very similar to the Apple AirPods.

The Enco Free from Oppo uses a half-in-ear design which can also be changed to shallow in-ear through the ear cap. This will be the second wireless audio product from Oppo under its Enco lineup.

Earlier this year, a couple of months ago, the company had launched Oppo Enco Q1 Wireless noise-cancelling headphones. It uses a 3D neckband design that’s thick at the end and thin at the center.

The Q1 headphones feature dual Active Noise Cancellation with four mics. It is using a hybrid noise cancellation technology on its new model, featuring both a feedforward and feedback ANC. The feedforward active noise cancellation uses the external microphone to measure ambient noise before it enters the ear, processing that signal to ensure an exact and opposite signal leaves the system’s speaker to effectively cancel the ambient noise.

It remains to be seen if the upcoming Oppo Enco Free will offer active noise-cancellation. However, expect the company to share more details about the product through teaser posters on social media as the launch event nears.
