The Reno3 series will be announced in China on December 26. The launch will be for the Reno3 and Reno3 Pro and both will be 5G mid-range phones. While OPPO has announced that the Reno3 Pro will be powered by the Snapdragon 765G processor, it has not said anything about the chipset inside the Reno3. Now, we have official confirmation on the processor that will power the Reno3 as well as some other details, thanks to a page put up by OPPO.

According to the info on the page, the Reno3 will be powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 1000L 5G processor. MediaTek is yet to announce the chipset which is also known as the MT6885.

Yesterday, the AnTuTu benchmark result of the Reno3 surfaced on the web and it revealed the device has an MT6885Z processor powering it. The benchmark result showed the processor has a Mali-G77 GPU. We presume it also has Cortex-A77 CPU cores like the Dimensity 1000 but at a lower clock speed.

The page also reveals the Reno3 has a thickness of 7.96 millimeters but does not say if it has the same 4025mAh battery capacity as the Reno3 Pro.

Based on the render we have seen, the Reno3 will have an AMOLED display with a waterdrop notch for the selfie camera. We also already know it will come with 64MP quad rear cameras and have an in-display fingerprint scanner.

The page also says OPPO is running a sweepstakes and the prizes up for grabs include the Reno3, OPPO OO-Fresh Earphones, and OPPO MH13 wired earphones etc.
