Xiaomi has launched the MIJIA Electric Kettle 1A and it is already available to buy on Xiaomi Youpin for 79 yuan ($11).
The MIJIA Electric Kettle 1A keeps up with the minimalist design that Xiaomi products are known for. The body is made from high-quality food-grade matte PP material. There is a push button at the top for opening the kettle. It uses a two-stage damping opening design which prevents burn resulting from a sudden release of vapour when the cover is opened. The kettle also has a power cord storage compartment at the bottom.

The electric kettle has a large 1.5L capacity with a 13cm diameter. It also utilises a double-layer anti-scalding design. The inner layer is made of 304 stainless steel There is a high-power 1800W heating ring inside which takes just 5 minutes to boil. It also comes with a built-in British brand thermostat which ensures that the device goes off when the hot water is fully boiled. There are visual heating lamps at the switch which signifies the heater is working.
In terms of safety, it supports four protective features: automatic power off after the water boils, automatic power off when water is lacking, power base connector to prevent electric shock, automatic power off when the kettle is lifted.
The MIJIA electric kettle 1A comes in white only and is presently available on Xiaomi Youpin.
