Samsung launched the Galaxy A51 alongside the Galaxy A71 at an event in Vietnam earlier this month. The Galaxy A51 is expected to make its India debut soon as the launch page of the smartphone just went live on Samsung India’s official website. The support page just mentions the model number of the device (SM-A515F/DSN) but does not reveal information about a tentative launch date in India.

The Samsung Galaxy A51 flaunts a 6.5-inch full-HD+ display with an Infinity-O panel and a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels. It draws power from a 2.3GHz Exynos 9611 SoC with Mali-G72 GPU, along with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage, which is further expandable up to 512GB with a microSD card.

In terms of camera specifications, the Galaxy A51 flaunts a 48-megapixel primary sensor with a 12-megapixel wide-angle lens and a 5-megapixel depth sensor. The smartphone features a 32-megapixel sensor upfront. The smartphone draws power from a 4,000 mAh battery with 15W fast charge support, and runs on Android 10-based One UI 2.0.

The smartphone features an in-display fingerprint scanner and flaunts Dolby Atmos audio support. Connectivity options include dual SIM 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth v5.0, dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11 ac, USB Type-C, GPS, and GLONASS. The device measures 158.5 x 73.6 x 7.9 mm and weighs 172 grams.

The Galaxy A51 is scheduled to go on sale in Vietnam on Dec. 27 with a price tag of 7,990,000 VND (~$344). It is likely that the smartphone will arrive in India closer to the date. What remains to be seen is whether Samsung discontinues the Galaxy A50 in India, as the A51 is expected to fall within the same price bracket. Also, at present there is no word on the arrival of Galaxy A71 in India.
