Earlier today (3rd December 2020), Xiaomi started the sale of its Watch Color smartwatch in the wearables category. The new device is touted for its impressively long lasting battery life. Notably, the company has also released an unboxing video for the high end model of the smartwatch.
Specifications and Features
Xiaomi’s Watch Color is the latest entry in the company’s smart wearables category. It features a 1.39 inch AMOLED high definition display on a circular dial. The resolution of the display is 454 x 454px and supports Bluetooth 5.0 technology and a 420mAh battery capacity. It also supports NFC connectivity and built-in Xiao AI voice assistant, enabling control of one’s smart home from just the wrists.
Xiaomi’s Watch Color is equipped with 6 high precision sensors that accurately map complex movement, heart rate and locks the user’s movement trajectory. It can also be set with different outdoor and indoor activity modes that include, running, cycling, mountain climbing or even swimming and indoor cycling and treadmill running.
The smartwatch is capable of monitoring and analyzing various body biometrics throughout the day. It can calculate the calories burnt in real time, detect heart rate for 4 hours, sleep detection, pressure detection and more, to gain an in-depth understanding of the user’s physical conditions.

Battery life is a big concern for many users of the smartwatches. Xiaomi had addressed this problem with the Watch Color, which can be used for about 14 days in a single full charge. However, the smartwatch can last even longer for up to 22 days if used in the long endurance mode.
Availability
Xiaomi’s Watch Color is currently available for 799 Yuan or roughly 114 US Dollars. It is being sold from all the company’s official channels in China. It is available in multiple different color schemes and is targetted towards the youth of China. The dial arrives in multiple variants to choose from while the wristband of the Watch Color has 6 silicone colors to choose from, also being available in leather strap versions as well (including crocodile patterned leather straps). Thus, the total number of combinations from the dial and straps come out with a notable 1540 unique configurations.
Unboxing
Today, the Chinese tech giant released an unboxing video on Xiaomi’s Mijia official website. The Watch Color packaging includes three major items that includes the smartwatch, the product manual, and the charging stand. The video also revealed the wearables in its broad range of customizable configurations that are suitable for both its male and female buyers.
