OnePlus is rolling out the latest update for its 2018 flagship series, the OnePlus 6 series. It includes the OnePlus 6 and 6T which are receiving the OxygenOS 10.3.1 update which brings minor fixes and Android security patch updates.

OnePlus has always been one of the first to update its smartphone offerings when a major Android OS version launches. Its quick adoption has been one of its strong suits that its userbase greatly appreciates. However, looking back at the OnePlus 6 series, the updates are prompt but have been rolled back multiple times now.

Previously, the company had attempted to bring Android 10 OS to its 2018 flagship lineup on three separate occasions. Multiple issues had led to the initial OTA updates being rolled back, so a quick update isn’t necessarily a stable one. Now, the company has rolled out another update that brings the December 2019 Android security patch alongside a few minor fixes as listed below.

    • Fixed the issue with a black screen appearing after unlocking the device using a fingerprint
    • Fixed the issue with the animation logo while rebooting device
    • Fixed the issue with device heating up while charging
    • Fixed the random disconnection issue with 5Ghz hotspot
    • Improved system stability and fixed general bugs
    • Updated security patch to 2019.12
  • Camera
    • Optimized the image preview time in the Pro mode Fixed the camera crash issue
  • Gallery
    • Fixed the issue with videos and images not displaying in the gallery
