With its rich collection of features and no compromise in overall fluidity, MIUI has been loved by masses. Over the cause of its evolution, Xiaomi has incorporated many new features on its custom Android skin. But at the same time ditched a handful of them for no reason such as the good-old App Drawer option. Seems Xiaomi is working to bring it back as the latest MIUI Launcher Alpha release packs few new features including the app drawer.

Xiaomi released MIUI Launcher Alpha 4.16.0.1457 earlier this eve. As mentioned, the release packs certain new options, among which include the app drawer and the ability to change the Home screen layout along with the icon size.
As of the app drawer, it isn’t enabled by default so you will have to surf through the Home Screen settings menu. From their change the default (Regular) to “with App Drawer” option in order to get a separate drawer for aligning all of your apps.
If you’re missing the separate app drawer and fed up with Home Screen Only option on the latest Mi devices, install the latest Alpha and switch the mode. Or else, wait for the feature to become stable as you very well know what should be expected from an alpha build.
