Nubia is all set to launch the new Red Magic 5G gaming smartphone at MWC 2020 in Barcelona, Spain at the end of this month. In addition to this gaming flagship, the company also plans to unveil new smart devices under the Red Magic branding at the event. While the company hasn’t revealed what products are meeting us at the event, Nubia’s president Ni Fei has hinted that there could be a Red Magic router.

When one of his followers on Weibo asked whether there was a router incoming, he replied by saying that it was ‘ready’. So, this should be a good indication that the company will announce a new router too at the event. Also, in the image shared by the executive (added above), we can see a separate section for RedMagic Life. So, routers and other smart devices could come under this category.

The highlight of the Nubia MWC 2020 event will be the Red Magic 5G flagship that’s expected to be the world’s first 144Hz 5G flagship. The current flagship smartphones have a maximum screen refresh rate of 120Hz, but Nubia seems to be taking things up a notch with its new device. Along with a high screen refresh rate, the phone is confirmed to feature the new Snapdragon 865 processor with integrated 5G chipset as well as QHD+ resolution.

The phone will feature the super fast and efficient LPDDR5 RAM module, just like Xiaomi and Realme flagships launching at the event. However, the Red Magic 5G’s charging speed could be the real highlight as rumors claim it may go as high as 80W. The phone will also come with a physical fan as a part of its cooling system to ensure the temperatures are maintained during long hours of gameplay.
