Much to the dismay of those restlessly waiting to get their hands on Realme’s yellow-tinted Buds Air, the Chinese smartphone maker has postponed its plan to launch this variant of the earbuds in China amid the coronavirus epidemic.

In an official apology letter, which was released on February 11th, Realme said consumers making the final payment on February 14th will be first in line to receive Buds Air yellow version. The Shenzhen-based company is expected to resume normal production as soon as it can while ensuring the utmost protection of its employees and consumers against the coronavirus outbreak.

realme buds air yellowRealme took the covers off its Buds Air wireless headset in January in China this year. The earphone is powered by an R1 chip with a 119.3ms delay. Furthermore, it supports an impressive array of features including wear detection, Type-C, and wireless charging, smart touch, and adopts the ENC call noise reduction technology for a superior calling experience. The Realme Buds Air bears a price tag of 369 yuan ($53).

In order to strengthen the prevention and control of pneumonia epidemic of the new type of coronavirus, governments across the country, Guangdong and other regions have introduced regulations and measures such as extended holidays, postponed resumption of work, and traffic control. For customers who deliver the final payment on February 14, we expect to start shipping on March 3.
