The US ban has forced Huawei to find an alternative to Google’s Mobile Services. The Chinese giant has developed its own mobile app infrastructure called Huawei Mobile Services (HMS). The latest news from Turkey says Turkish operator, Turkcell, has now signed a partnership with Huawei to use its mobile app infrastructure.

The info was announced at a news conference that had in attendance Turkcell CEO, Murat Erkan, and the country manager of Huawei Turkey Consumer Electronics Group, Seth Wang.

Mr. Erkan saidTurkcell has a sales target of 1 million HMS-enabled Huawei phones between April 2020 and the end of next year. Huawei currently has 4.6 million mobile users in Turkey with a Huawei ID.

The CEO also revealed that they have begun working on the integration of nearly 30 Turkcell apps into Huawei Mobile Services. The first set of Huawei devices sold in Turkey that will run HMS will be available this April.
