Huawei’s sub-brand Honor had launched its new smartwatch named Honor Magic Watch 2 in China last year. Today, the company has launched a new variant of the same device, dubbed Honor Magic Watch 2 Sakura Gold.

The newly launched color scheme has simple and elegant look and gives the smartwatch a luxurious, young and energetic feel. The device, which seems to be targeted at women, is now up for reservation in China.

It carries a price tag of 1,399 yuan which roughly converts to $199 but the company is currently offering 100 yuan (~$14) discount and thus, it is currently available for 1,299 yuan, which is about $185.

The Honor Magic Watch 2 Sakura Gold Edition comes with a 1.2-inch AMOLED touchscreen display offering a screen resolution of 390 x 390 pixels and 326 PPI pixel density along with support for personalised watch faces. Under the hood, the device with 42mm dial is powered by the company’s own Kirin A1 chipset.

Fitness-related features on the smartwatch include GPS and GLONASS tracking system, 15 goal-based fitness modes, 13 different running courses, and real-time VoiceOver guidance. Further, it comes with a few health related features like heart-rate monitor, sleep monitoring, and stress monitoring.

The device, which is rated 5ATM for water resistance, also supports storage and playback of over 500 songs. As for the battery life, the company claims that the smartwatch can last for about seven days on a single charge.
