Specs and Features
The Realme Band is the first smart band from the company. It features a 0.96 inch color display with a 80 x 160px resolution. The screen is large enough to fit about 64 letters on the screen and is even capable of displaying notifications. It is also is touch screen enabled and one can access the different screens just by tapping on the display.
The Realme Band has been launched alongside the LinkSmart app which will allow it to display texts from Facebook, Messenger, WhatsApp, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok and SMS. Currently, the smart wearable from Realme supports 5 watch faces, with software updates planned to bring in more in the future.
On top of the display, a thin layer of flat protective glass extends into the TPU wrist bands. Realme Band is resistant to wear and tear based on daily use and is IP 68 certified water and dust resistant, so exercising and showering shouldn’t be a concern. Notably, one of the bands can be pulled out to reveal a USB A plug. This directly connects to a laptop or charging brick, eliminating the need for a separate charging wire to be carried.

Arriving at the battery life, the Realme Band is powered by a 90mAh battery, which lasts up to 10 days in a single full charge with the heart rate tracking enabled. It can be recharged in about 1 hour and 47 minutes. As stated above, it can track your heart rate in real time and can also track sleep and steps walked as well. The band will even remind users to drink water and stay hydrated periodically, and also prompting movement if the user hasn’t moved in a while.
The Realme Band features 9 different activity modes too, namely cricket, yoga, walking, hiking, climbing, cycling, spinning and fitness. Three of these can be accessed quickly on the band itself while the rest have to be activated on the app, which also displays the detailed statistics of the physical activities.
Price and Availability
Realme is offering the smart band for a price of 1,499 INR (roughly 20.5 US Dollars). The Realme Band will be available in three different colours as well, including Black, Olive Green and the signature Yellow. It will start the first sale today between, 2PM to 4PM IST in India in a “hate to wait sale” while the full launch for the market will occur on 9th March 2020.
