In December 2019, Redmi had launched the Redmi K30 4G and Redmi K30 5G smartphones. While the Redmi K30 4G was made available for purchase readily, the company decided to sell the Redmi K30 5G in January. The Redmi K30 5G was announced in four RAM and storage combinations. While the starting three variants have been available for purchase, it is only today that Redmi began with the sales of the 8 GB RAM + 256 GB storage variant of the Redmi K30 5G.
The 8 GB RAM + 256 GB storage edition of the Redmi K30 5G carries a price tag of 2,899 Yuan (~$416). The new model is available in all four color variants like Time Monologue, Purple Jade Fantasy, Deep Sea Glow and Flower Shadow. As the poster reveals, Redmi is offering a free of headsets to customers who purchase the 8 GB + 256 GB variant of the Redmi K30 5G.
Redmi K30 5G Specifications
The Redmi K30 5G features a 6.67-inch IPS LCD panel that supports full HD+ resolution and a refresh rate of 120Hz. The Snapdragon 765G chipset is present under the hood of the device. It is equipped with a 4,500mAh battery that carries support for 30W rapid charging.
The dual punch-hole on the screen of the Redmi K30 5G features a 20-megapixel + 2-megapixel dual camera setup. The back panel of the phone is fitted with a quad camera setup that comprises of 64-megapixel Sony IMX686 main lens, an 8-megapixel ultrawide shooter, a 2-megapixel macro lens and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. It has a side-facing fingerprint reader.
In related news, Redmi recently confirmed that it has sold 1 million units of the Redmi K30 series smartphones. The company will be announcing the Snapdragon 865 mobile platform driven Redmi K30 Pro 5G phone this month. It is expected to come with a notch-less display, a dual pop-up selfie camera and a more powerful quad camera setup.
