Xiaomi is expected to launch the Redmi Note 9 series in India on March 12. The company is yet to confirm the names of the models that would make up the series. There are talks of a Redmi Note 9 Pro Max model but going by precedence, the company is expected to launch the Redmi Note 9 and Redmi Note 9 Pro.  A Xiaomi model believed to be the Redmi Note 9 has appeared on the database of benchmarking app GeekBench.Redmi Note 9

The device appears as Xiaomi Merlin and from the listing, we can gather that the device will run on Android 10 operating system out of the box. The most interesting part is the processor onboard the device. Although the name wasn’t explicitly stated, the chipset onboard is given as ARM MT6769V/CZ. It has an octa-core architecture and is a MediaTek chipset. We’ll need to draw reference with the Realme C3’s GeekBench listing to confirm this is likely the Helio G70 SoC. The Geekbench single-core and multi-core tests scores of 345 points and 1247 points respectively align with those of the MediaTek Helio G70 onboard the device.
