In October of 2019, Doogee launched S95 Pro, a rugged smartphone with support for swappable mods just like the now-defunct Moto Z series of smartphones by Motorola. Now, the brand has launched the standard S95, which is currently on sale at $30 off (via coupon) on AliExpress.
Doogee is well-known for its rugged smartphone lineup. The latest device from the company called S95 follows the footsteps of the brand’s previous handsets and reiterates the same formula with a twist. Actually, this device is simply the S95 Pro from last year with lower storage and RAM as well as a different primary camera sensor. Therefore, all the features (except for a few) of the Pro variant are present and accounted for in the non-pro version.

The Doogee S95 rugged modular smartphone sports a 6.3-inches FHD+ IPS LCD panel for display with a waterdrop notch housing the 16MP selfie camera. The phone’s exterior is made of rugged material and it is MIL-STD-810G certified to withstand extreme weather conditions as well as drops on hard surfaces from a height of 1.2 meters. The device is also IP68 and IP69K for dust and water resistance to survive underwater for 4 hours up to a depth of 3 meters.
Inside, the S95 Doogee features a MediaTek Helio P90 SoC paired with 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. The rear of the phone also has a pogo pin at the bottom to connect with module accessories. As of now, only two modules are available for this device and includes a power bank module with 3,500 mAh capacity and a 6W HiFi speaker module.
Other features of this device include a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, Android 9.0 Pie operating system and a 5,150 mAh battery with support for 10W wireless charging and 24W wired fast charging. When compared to the pro variant, the standard variant only lacks the 256GB storage option and 48MP Sony IMX586 primary camera sensor.
