When shopping for accessories, you may come across a new badge on retail boxes that reads “works with chromebook”. This is similar to Apple’s MFi (Made for iPhone/iPod/iPad) program and Google’s Made for Google program for its Pixel phones.

According to the official page, this certification will appear on a variety of products including cables, connectors, power adapters, mice, and keyboards. The badge should make it easier for you to find accessories that will work seamlessly with your Chromebook says Google.

Works With Chromebook

The Works With Chromebook (hoping there is a shorter name like WWC) program has the following manufacturers on board as partners – Anker, Logitech, Brydge, Belkin, Satechi, Kensington, Targus, Cable Matters, Elecom, Hyper, Plugable, StarTech, and AbleNet.

More manufacturers are expected to join the program in the future. From China, we expect ZMI to join. The manufacturer is known for its high-quality cables, chargers, and power banks.

Buyers will see the badge on products sold in major stores in the US, Canada, and Japan.
