Huawei will be soon unveiling the P40 series officially on March 26 at an online-only launch event. The company is expected to announce three models in the series namely P40, P40 Pro, and P40 Pro Premium Edition respectively. But the latest leak suggests the latter beefed-up variant to launch with a different name and a separate report says it to ship later than the first two models.

The launch of Huawei P40 series has been already delayed by a month. Amidst this, new information from internal sources reveals the most expensive P40 series model, which has been up until known as P40 Pro Premium Editon will be made available later than the standard and Pro model of the series. This variant with model number ELP-AN10 will feature a ceramic body instead of glass and will come with five rear cameras, out of which, two will be telephoto. Further, as per a tip by Ishan Agarwal, a well-known leakster with a credible history, the so-called P40 Pro Premium Edition will be actually called P40 Pro Plus 5G or P40 Pro+ 5G. It is interesting to see Huawei adopting the Plus moniker when its competitors Apple and Samsung have moved on to Max and Ultra respectively. This is not the first time we are seeing something like this. Previously, when Sony killed the ‘Z’ branding on its flagship smartphones, Motorola soon started using it for its own modular phone series – ‘Moto Z’.
