For those unaware, Redmi’s K30 Pro was scheduled to launch today. It is the premium variant in the Redmi K30 series and features top notch specs.

However, it is interesting to note that the Redmi K20 series still gained another notable achievement, despite having the Redmi K30 already being available. This is indicative of Xiaomi and Redmi’s philosophy of offerings top notch specs in lucrative prices. Redmi K20 series was extremely popular for all of its features and its relative affordability. For the most part, the Redmi K20 and K20 Pro were almost identical, save the different storage and memory configurations and the processor. The former featured Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 730 SoC, which is a mid range chip, while the latter featured the flagship Snapdragon 855 processor. Coupled with a price tag under $400 (2,829 Yuan), the smartphone has seen great success in the Asian markets.
