Zhimi has just launched a new product earlier today (27th March 2020). The known Chinese electronics maker has released the Pure Humidifier 2, which is officially available on the Xiaomi Youpin platform for the price of 699 Yuan (roughly 99 US Dollars).
The new product is an upgrade over its previous iteration but still serves the same purpose of evaporation and humidification. The maximum humdifying capacity of the device is 260ml every hour, marking a growth in efficiency over the original model. Zhimi’s new Pure Humidifier 2 also sports a large 4L water tank, through which the humidification process can last up to 15 years on a single full tank.
A notable inclusion over the previous generation is a display. The new Zhimi Pure Humidifier 2 features a large smart screen display that can provide real time information regarding the surrounding airs humidity, water level remaining in the tank, operating gear and other important information as well. To control the display, an integrated touch buttons have been featured for easy controls.

Since the Zhimi Pure Humidifier 2 does not form water mist as it simulates natural evaporation, the gadget is also suitable for the elderly people. Even children and other groups with sensitive respiratory systems do not face any risks. Notably, the water evaporation tray is made from bacteriostatic materials, which help prevent the formation and breeding of harmful bacterias, even when water levels are at the lowest. In other words, an automatic evaporation system is in place to get rid of excess water.
The Zhimi Pure Humidifier 2 can controlled by the Mijia smart app. This allows for remote control of the product through users’ smartphones. Furthermore, it can even be linked with other Zhimi smart home appliances and gadget as well. Interestingly, it also supports the Xiao AI voice assistant along with volume controls and a physical switch to turn the device on and off.
