EMU 10.1 debuted on the Huawei P40 series in the last week of March 2020. A few days later, the Chinese telecom giant announced a number of devices eligible for the update. Now, the first batch of devices like Mate 30 series and P30 series are receiving the closed beta update of EMUI 10.1 in China.

The latest version of Huawei’s mobile software, EMUI 10.1 is an incremental update for the EMUI 10 released after Google announced Android 10. As of now, most of the Huawei / Honor smartphones/tablets released within a time period of year or two are running the EMUI 10 software, however, only a few of them are guaranteed to get the EMUI 10.1 update so far.

For now, the brand has rolled out the first EMUI 10.1 closed beta update for the following devices as per the schedule.

The Mate 30 series is receiving the EMUI 10.1 closed beta update with version 10.1.0.119, whereas the update for the P30 series comes with version 10.1.0.118.

EMUI 10.1 brings a number of new features such as Huawei’s own Celia AI Voice Assistant, Huawei MeeTime video calling app, cross-device photo gallery, new improved AOD, multi-window, and others. Check out our coverage on EMUI 10.1 launch to know more about it.
