Huawei has been facing large scale failure of its Cloud services in China. Reports from many users started flooding in earlier today (10th April 2020), and the issue seems to largely affect China, with its website and service being unavailable.
Many Weibo users, a Chinese microblogging website, shared posts online regarding the Huawei Cloud services being unavailable. They shared issues like being unable to login and more. A few people even shared screenshots online that showed them using the Chinese tech giant’s service, but being greeted by the messages saying that the service was down.

These included messages like, “The server is temporarily overloaded or under maintenance. Please try again later,” or “An error occurred while establishing a database connection.” Certain individuals online even claimed that the loss of the service had grave impacts on their enterprises or businesses. Furthermore, a few even reported on Huawei smartphones exploding, which seems highly unlikely.
Since the Cloud service was down, people in China couldn’t access a few applications or play games either. Unfortunately, Huawei has yet to make an official statement regarding this outage. Thus, it is currently unknown what caused the failure and many are asking Huawei when the issue will be resolved. So stay tuned for more news which should arrive soon
