iQOO is now gearing up to launch the iQOO Neo3 5G smartphone. The handset is scheduled to go official on April 23. Today, the company took to Weibo to reveal some of the major highlights of the phone. While it was being said that the iQOO Neo3 will be arriving with a 120Hz refresh rate supporting screen, the Chinese firm today revealed that is equipped with a 144Hz refresh rate display.

The Red Magic 5G phone from Nubia that had gone official in March is the world’s first smartphone to flaunt a 144Hz display. All the iQOO phones that launched in the past had 60Hz refresh rate screens. However, the iQOO Neo3 5G will be the company’s first phone to support higher refresh rates.

iQOO Neo3 key specs

The iQOO Neo3 is rumored to be equipped with an LCD panel that has a punch-hole for the front camera. The exact resolution of the phone’s screen is not known yet. It is likely to carry support for full HD+ resolution. There is no LCD display phone available in the market with in-screen fingerprint technology yet. Hence, the iQOO Neo3 could be coming with a side-mounted or a rear-facing fingerprint reader.
