The Nokia 8 Sirocco flagship phone was a follow-up to the Nokia 8, arriving six months later with generally better specs overall. Today, the phone has begun receiving its last major OS upgrade in the form of Android 10.

HMD Global has begun rolling out the Android 10 update to the 2018 flagship that ran Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box when it launched. The update is 1.38GB in size and also comes with April 2020’s security patch. Below is the full changelog:

  • Dark Mode – Take it easy on your eyes
  • Smart reply –  Save more time with recommended actions
  • Gesture Navigation – Get around with a swipe and a pull
  • Additional Controls for privacy and location
  • Google Security Patch (2020-04)

Of course, the update will take time to reach everyone, so if you have not gotten it yet, you will have to wait a few days. HMD Global says it expects all countries in the first wave to have received it by April 20.

The Nokia 8 Sirocco is still up for 1 more year of security updates before it reaches its end of life.
