Nitpicks About Missing Devices for MIUI 12 Update

At first glance, it is easy to miss but when you check the list again, you get to know a number of devices are missing. That is because this list is limited to China. We expect Xiaomi to add more devices in the MIUI 12 eligible list at the global launch.

Additionally, none of the Mi Pads is listed for the update. This is strange as the company’s tablets are currently only available in its home market but still, they are not included in the list above.

Xiaomi has no plans for giving up on tablets as a new product going by the name of Redmi Pad 5G was recently leaked via poster. Maybe, tablets from the company will get a forked version of MIUI 12 similar to iPadOS or they will be added to the list later.

Further, Mi 6 is also not listed but the cheaper offering Mi 6X makes the list. As per the Mi Community post, the former flagship smartphone will be indeed receiving MIUI 12, however, only beta builds for now. The company is yet to decide on providing a stable final build and therefore it is not on the list.

Now, as we are done with the devices supported for MIUI 12 update, let us take a look at the update schedule/timeline provided by the company.
