Google Stadia is the search giant’s cloud gaming service that debuted in November of 2019. Although the company is adding more games and features, the service’s availability and supported devices are still limited. Thankfully, the list is growing as the recently launched OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro are now compatible with the service according to the latest blog post by the Stadia team.
Google Stadia has been out for the public for about five months now. But it is still only compatible with a handful of Android smartphones. However, users can access it on any TV using Chromecast Ultra and any computer or laptop via Google Chrome browser. Additionally, it also supports almost all the popular gamepads available in the market.
But it is restricted to certain regions just like few Android smartphones. When Stadia launched last year, initially it was only compatible with Google’s Pixel lineup of smartphones (excluding the OG Pixel and Pixel XL). Later on, the service became compatible with handsets from OEMs like Samsung, Asus, and Razer. Now, OnePlus becomes the new member of this elite squad with its OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro.
Anyway, here’s the complete list of Android smartphones compatible with Google Stadia as of May 1, 2020.
