The Xiaomi Mi Band 4 is one of the best budget fitness trackers available in the market. The company updates it regularly to add new features and fix bugs. The last major update brought a native functionality to unlock Windows laptops. Now, the wearable is receiving a new firmware update with version 1.0.9.48, which allows the wearable to share heart rate data with other apps.

As usual, the new firmware for Mi Band 4 is being pushed through an update of Mi Fit app via Google Play Store, Apple App Store and GetApps, the official app store of Xiaomi. The latest version of the app is 1.1.0 and it is essential for the installation of the fresh firmware.
Once the firmware is installed, any other app and smart devices can access heart rate data from the Mi Band 4 after the option is enabled. That means users can sync data with apps like Google Fit and Apple Health to name a few.
This feature is known as ‘Activity heart rate sharing’ and was available for the Mi Band 3 until Mi Band 4 launched last year. But now, it is back again to offer more flexibility.
Additionally, the new update for Mi Fit app also brings a redesigned ‘Band display settings’ section. The band faces are now categorized and users can even rate them.
