Just about the same time when the Redmi 9 was spotted on Xiaomi‘s RF Exposure website, the Redmi 10X also reportedly made an appearance on Google Play Console listing. The Redmi 10X has been considered an unusual name since we are having the Redmi 9 series this year. But the rumours have continued to gain ground with the phone said to be a rebranded Redmi Note 9 for the Chinese market. However, the Google Play Console listing suggests otherwise.Xiaomi Redmi 10X

The listing shows that the Redmi 10X 4G would bear the codename Merlin and will feature a MediaTek Helio G70 processor instead of the Helio G85 chipset that’s powering the Redmi Note 9. The processor is bundled with a Mali G52 GPU firing up the graphics. The smartphone will also come with 3GB RAM but we expect other options.

This device can easily be confused with the Redmi 9 which is expected to pack a similar specs lineup. However, the presence of an FHD+ resolution of 1080×2340 pixels should do the trip in distinguishing them as separate entities. The device will run on Android 10.

However, we won’t put all our cards on this one since the source isn’t given. So take this with a grain of salt.
