Huawei has been lately updating its older flagship smartphones in China with new features introduced in EMUI 10 on the Mate 30 series. These features include multi-screen collaboration, screen sharing, and smart charging mode. The P20 series and Mate 10 series received an update for the same last month. Now, the Honor 10 is getting a similar treatment via EMUI 10.0.0.178 OTA update.

Although it is literally the same update with a similar set of features and April 2020 security patch, the build number Huawei P20 series, Mate 20 series, and Honor 10 are different from each other.

    • Slows down charging at higher levels

The new OTA update for Honor 10 weighs 854MB and hence we recommend users to download it via WiFi to avoid extra data charges by their carriers. Also, this update is currently limited to the Chinse variant and we are not sure when the global versions will receive it.
