A new budget-friendly Huawei phone named Huawei P Smart S is gearing up for launch. Reliable tipster Evan Blass has shared the leaked press renders of the smartphone to reveal its design and color variants. It is speculated to arrive as a rebranded version of the China variant of the Honor 20 Lite smartphone.

The Huawei P Smart S is expected to replace the Huawei P Smart that debuted last year. The handset is equipped with a waterdrop notch screen. There is no physical fingerprint sensor on the backside and right edge of the device. This indicates that the phone is equipped with an in-screen fingerprint reader which in turn suggests that it possesses an AMOLED display.

The smartphone will be arriving in three color variants such as Emerald Green, Breathing Crystal, and Midnight Black. The leak has no information on the specifications of the smartphone. Last week, the smartphone was reportedly spotted at Geekbench with some key specs. The listing revealed that the handset features Kirin 710 chipset, 6 GB of RAM and it runs on Android 10 OS. Its other specs could be the same as Honor 20 Lite smartphone.

The Honor 20 Lite that debuted in October 2019 has a 6.3-inch AMOLED screen with an embedded fingerprint sensor. The screen offers a 20:9 aspect ratio and Full HD+ resolution. It comes with up to 8 GB of LPDDR4x RAM and up to 128 GB of UFS 2.1 storage. The EMUI 10 based Android 10 OS is loaded on the device.

The smartphone has a 48-megapixel + 8-megapixel + 2-megapixel triple camera system. It has a front camera of 16-megapixel. The handset houses a 4,000mAh battery with 20W fast charging support. The handset also bears resemblance with Huawei Enjoy 10S.
