Earlier this month, a new POCO device called M2 Pro popped on Xiaomi India’s RF exposure page. The device was later confirmed by an XDA Developers finding, which suggested this handset with model number M2003J6CI could be a variant of Redmi Note 9 series. Now, the same phone has been spotted once again on Bluetooth SIG and WiFi Alliance.

POCO, a former sub-brand of Xiaomi became a sensation with its POCO F1 smartphone in 2018. The brand emerged once again after nearly two years with its second device called POCO X2. Then, out of nowhere, a new phone called POCO M2 Pro appeared on the web ahead of POCO F2 Pro launch.

The model number M2003J6CI  associated with this phone was later traced back to the codename ‘gram’. The same was also found in the kernel source code of Redmi Note 9 Pro. In fact, there’s even a firmware tagged as ‘gram_in_global’ for POCO M2 Pro confirming it to launch in India.

Having said that, there’s no leak or listing of this handset’s specifications yet. But since it is related to Redmi Note 9 Pro, it could be powered by Snapdragon 720G or any other Snapdragon 700 series SoC.

Additionally, POCO is also set to launch its first-ever truly wireless earphones called ‘POCO Pop Buds’. But there’s not a single piece of information available regarding this product.
