Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, OnePlus announced its latest OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro flagship smartphones in the month of April. Since then, the smartphone has been made available for purchase in the select regions but not its most important market — India.

Soon after the launch announcement, the company had revealed the India-specific pricing for the smartphones. A few days after that, it was revealed that the phones will be available for purchase in the Indian market from 29th May. But the company has now announced a change in plan.

As for the pricing, the base model of the OnePlus 8, which comes in 6GB RAM and Glacial Green color, is priced at ₹41,999 (~$549). Meanwhile, the demand for the OnePlus 8 Pro has been high in the United States even though it carries a price tag of $899 that the company cannot keep up.
