Last week, Realme launched a few products in China at a launch event, including the company’s first so-calling gaming smartphone dubbed as Realme X50 Pro Player Edition. As the name indicates, it’s an upgraded variant of the X50 Pro.

Today, the Realme X50 Pro Player Edition officially went on sale in China. It seems that the company is launching just two variants today — 8GB RAM and 12GB RAM. The base model with 6GB RAM is scheduled to go on sale from 16th June. At the time of writing this (1:30 PM local time in China), the device appears to have been sold out on JD.com.

As for the pricing of the smartphone, the base model with 6GB RAM + 128GB storage is priced at 2,699 yuan (~$380) while the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage version costs 2,999 yuan (~$423). The top-end variant with 12GB RAM and 128GB storage is priced at 3,299 yuan which is about $465.

Realme X50 Pro Player

The Realme X50 Pro Player Edition shares the same design with the X50 Pro 5G which was recently launched in Europe. It has a 3D curved glass, curved waistline, and new upgraded coating technology, which not only has a higher value but also provides a better grip.

It comes with a 6.44-inch 20:9 Samsung E3 AMOLED HDR10+ display with 2400 x 1800 pixels screen resolution, dual punch-hole, support for a 90Hz refresh rate, and a 92 percent screen-to-body ratio.

Under the hood, the device is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 865 processor with LPDDR5 RAM and 128GB UFS 3.1 internal storage. There’s also a Gaming VC liquid cooling system to prevent the phone from heating up during extreme usage.

Realme X50 Pro Player Edition_

In the optics department, the smartphone features a dual-camera setup on the front and a quad-camera setup at the back. There’s a 48-megapixel Sony IMX586 sensor, an 8-megapixel wide-angle lens, a 2-megapixel macro lens, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor.

On the front side, it features a 16-megapixel primary sensor and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. The smartphone comes with features like stereo dual speakers, Dolby and Hi-Res audio, super shock linear motor, customized 4D gaming shock, and Hyperboost full speed gaming mode, among others.

The device also supports 5G dual-model full Netcom and Wi-Fi 6, along with utilizing a 360° surround antenna design. It runs the Android 10 operating system with Realme UI on top and is powered by a 4,200mAh battery that has support for 65W SuperDart flash charge.
