Google was all set to release the Android 11 Beta version this month and the company had also scheduled an online event for the same on 3rd June. Soon after that, the company announced that the event has been postponed, along with all the Google I/O dev talks that the company planned to release.

However, some Pixel 4 XL smartphone owners are reporting to have received the new Android 11 Beta update. The new Android 11 Beta 1 has build number RPB1.200504.018 but it doesn’t seem to be widely available at this time.

The new Beta 1 update for the next major Android version is expected to come with the final SDK and NDK APIs. The company is also expected to open Play Store publishing for apps targeting Android 11.

The update brings several new features such as an option to enable media controls from the Quick Settings, Power Menu settings customizations, app suggestions for the dock in Pixel Launcher, new icon shapes, and more.

Initially, Google had planned to release the Android 11 Beta version in the month of May 2020 but it pushed the update to 1st June and instead released the Android 11 Developer Preview 4 (DP4) version. But the official release of the update has been postponed again and the company is yet to reveal new dates.
