Honor will be unleashing the Honor Play4 series later today at 3 PM (local time) in China. Few hours before the launch, Honor has confirmed some key features that will be available on the Play4 series.

The above-shown screenshot of Honor’s latest Weibo post reveals that the Honor Play4 series is equipped with Kirin 990 SoC, infrared temperature measurement, and 40W superfast charging. While the 40W charging could be available on Play4 5G and Play4 Pro 5G, it appears that the Pro model may feature the flagship chipset and body temperature measuring sensor.

Honor Play series Product Manager Wei Xiaolong Raul had recently revealed that the body temperature sensor on the Play4 Pro can not only measure the body temperature of people and animals, but also it can measure the temperature of objects. Through a new Weibo post, Raul also revealed that the VC liquid cooling system of the Play4 is much better than the normal heat dissipation system from other brands.

As it is known, the Honor Play4 series has at least two devices such as Play4 5G and Play4 Pro 5G. While the Pro model is confirmed to feature a flagship chipset, the vanilla model may come with Dimensity 800 SoC. At present, there is no word on the pricing of the Play4 series.

The Play4 5G has a Full HD+ 6.81-inch punch-hole display with a 16-megapixel front camera. It has a 64-megapixel quad-camera setup and a 4,300mAh battery.

The Play4 Pro 5G features a Full HD+ 6.57-inch dual punch-hole screen. It houses a 32-megapixel + 8-megapixel dual selfie camera system and a rear-facing Sony IMX600Y 40-megapixel +8-megapixel battery. It is expected to come with a 4,200mAh battery.
