TCL is making big moves this year. The Chinese manufacturer announced a trio of affordable phones in the US and Europe, a couple of earphones; and just a few days ago, it launched new Android TVs that have a starting price of just $129. Today, it has announced it has a launch event in India but for a different product from the aforementioned ones.

The official TCL India Twitter account tweeted earlier today that it will have an event on Thursday, June 18. The tweet includes a link to a pre-registration page that reveals the launch is actually for a QLED TV and not a smartphone or budget TV.

The launch will be an online-only event as expected and will begin at 12:30 PM. TCL says those who pre-register will win prizes and get exclusive early bird offers.

TCL is one of the top TV sellers in India, though it trails behind Xiaomi which joined the TV business after it did.
