The Realme X3 SuperZoom has launched in Europe and India but it is yet to make its way to China. While there is no official confirmation regarding when that will happen, there is a high chance the Chinese variant will have support for 5G and come with a different chipset.

The Realme X3 SuperZoom is powered by a Snapdragon 855+ processor. While there are phones powered with that chipset with support for 5G, Realme decided to not go down that route. However, if the company plans on keeping the affordable price tag of the phone while adding support for 5G, it may have to go for a less-powerful processor.

Realme X3 SuperZoom China version

The Chinese leaker that goes by Digital Chat Station on Weibo said in a post that Realme’s options for a 5G version of the Realme X3 SuperZoom are the Snapdragon 765G or Dimensity 800.

It remains to be seen if Realme will launch the phone in China in the first place, but if it does, it will be better to launch it with support for 5G. And to do that, a mid-range 5G chipset will be its best bet so it can keep the price tag low.
