It is no news that our phones are one of our dirtiest possessions and can help in spreading germs. Therefore, it is advised that we frequently clean our devices. The UV-C Portable sterilizer is designed to kill the germs on phones. Samsung says the device can kill up to 99% of germs on both sides of the phone in just 10 minutes.

It can also be used to sterilize other devices and items including earbuds, smartwatches, and masks. One of the product images even shows it being used to sterilize a pair of sunglasses.

Another feature of the sterilizer is that it doubles as a wireless charging power bank. So if you are running low on battery, you can throw your phone in and have it charge while sterilizing. Samsung says charging doesn’t stop once sterilization is completed. The sterilizer itself charges via a USB-C port.

The sterilizer measures 22.8 x 12.8 x 4.9 centimeters and can hold devices as large as the Galaxy S20 Ultra 5G and the Galaxy Z Flip when unfolded. You can only sanitize the Galaxy Fold when it is folded.

The Samsung UV Sterilizer is priced at ฿1,590 (~$51) and is already available for purchase on the official Samsung Experience Store and partner stores.
