Earlier today (2n July 2020), the Xiaomi Youpin platform started crowdfunding for a new product. It is for the 90 Points Automatic Reverse Folding Umbrella, which is priced at 99 Yuan (roughly 14 US Dollars) but begins crowdfunding for 49 Yuan (roughly 7 US Dollars).
One of the umbrella’s unique aspects is its folding design. While most umbrellas fold in a manner that bends outward from the middle, the 90 Points Automatic Reverse Folding Umbrella bends inward in the middle. This design prevents water from spilling over from the top of the surface when being folded and users can remove the water by tilting it. The reverse fold resembles a lotus flower like design.

The total surface area of the umbrella is a 106cm, which is good enough to cover at least 2 people. On the bottom of the umbrella’s handle, an LED flash light can also be found to help light up your path by up to 10 meters on a rainy day. The 90 Points Automatic Reverse Folding Umbrella can fold with just one button press, while its surface is also coated with UV treatment process to block light and provide heat insulation for sun protection when using it in the day.
