Last week, POCO announced the POCO M2 Pro smartphone in India. The smartphone that bears resemblance with the Redmi Note 9 Pro in terms of appearance and specifications comes with an enticing starting price of Rs. 13,999 (~$185). As scheduled, the POCO M2 Pro’s first sale will be carried out today in India at 12 PM (local time).

The POCO M2 Pro comes in three variants in India such as 4 GB RAM + 64 GB storage, 6 GB RAM + 64 GB storage and 6 GB RAM + 128 GB storage. These models are priced at Rs. 13,999 (~$185), Rs. 14,999 (~$199), and Rs. 16,999 (~$226).

The smartphone can be bought through Flipkart starting at 12 PM today. It can be bought in colors like Out of the Blue, Green and Greener, and Two Shades of Black. Axis Bank Buzz credit card users can avail 5 percent off on the device. Owners of Flipkart Axis Bank credit card can take advantage of 5 percent unlimited cashback. Customers can also benefit from up to 12 months of no-cost EMI plans.

The POCO M2 Pro sports a dual-tone design on its back and it houses a 6.67-inch IPS LCD panel with a top-center positioned punch-hole. The 20:9 screen offers Full HD+ resolution. The MIUI 11 based Android 10 OS along with POCO launch comes preinstalled on the device.

The Snapdragon 720G is present under the hood along with LPDDR4x RAM. It UFS 2.1 storage and a microSD card slot. It has a front camera of 16-megapixel and its rear is equipped with a 48-megapixel + 8-megapixel (ultrawide) + 5-megapixel (macro) + 2-megapixel (depth) quad-camera system.

The POCO M2 Pro houses a 5,020mAh battery. The company is offering a 33W fast charger in the retail package of the handset. Other features of the device include dual-SIM support, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, USB-C, IR blaster, z-axis linear vibration motor, and 3.5mm audio jack.
