POCO is unofficially the “King of Rebadging”. The smartphone company which separated from Xiaomi this year to be an “independent” brand has announced three phones this year, all of which are technically rebadged versions of Redmi phones. Now, it appears a fourth device is on the way and it may also be a rebadged Redmi phone.

The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) and TÜV Rheinland have certified a POCO phone with model number M2006C3MI. The model number is similar to that of the Redmi 9C which got a global launch yesterday in Europe.

The Redmi 9C is a budget smartphone. It is powered by the Helio G35 processor, has a 6.53-inch HD+ display with a notch, and packs a 5000mAh battery. The phone also has 13MP+5MP+2MP triple rear cameras and a 5MP selfie camera.

The phone launched in Malaysia for RM 429 (~$100) while its price in Europe is €119 for the 2GB RAM + 32GB version and €139 for the 3GB RAM + 64GB version. If and when it does launch as a POCO phone in India, it will be the brand’s cheapest phone ever.
