In March, Black Shark unveiled the Snapdragon 865 powered Black Shark 3 and Black Shark 3 Pro gaming smartphones. Earlier this month, Qualcomm unveiled the enhanced Snapdragon 865 Plus chipset. Hence, it was speculated that an updated Black Shark 3 model with SD865+ onboard may go official soon. Last week, Black Shark CEO Luo Yuzhou teased the arrival of the new Black Shark 3S gaming smartphone. Today, the Chinese firm officially confirmed that it will be launching the Black Shark 3S phone in China on July 31.

The poster reveals that the launch event for the Black Shark 3S will be held at 3:00 PM (local time) on July 31. It has no information on the specs of the device.

A recent leak revealed that the company will not be launching an updated version of the Black Shark 3 Pro. The Black Shark 3S will be arriving as an updated edition of the Black Shark 3. Hence, it is unlikely to carry any change in the design. The inclusion of the Snapdragon 865 Plus mobile platform could be the only major change on the Black Shark 3S. Its S-AMOLED screen may support a higher refresh rate.
