MIUI 12, Xiaomi’s 10th-anniversary Android skin has been rolling out to eligible devices since its official announcement in late April. After the 2020 and 2019 smartphones, the stable update is currently being pushed to 2018 handsets in China. The Mi 8 Pro, Mi 8 Explorer Edition, and Mi Max 3 are the latest phones to get it.

Xiaomi launched a total of five models in the Mi 8 series in 2018 consisting of three flagship handsets and two toned-down versions. One of the higher-end and mini models, Mi 8 and Mi 8 Lite already received MIUI 12 stable update in July and August respectively in China.

Now, the top devices in the series, Mi 8 Pro and Mi 8 Explorer Edition have begun to get this long-awaited update in the company’s home country. The build numbers for their update are v12.0.1.0.QECCNXM and 12.0.1.0.QEHCNXM respectively.

Similarly, the last phone in the Mi Max series, the Mi Max 3 is also being blessed with MIUI 12 stable update. The update comes with build number v12.0.1.0.QEDCNXM for this giant smartphone of its time.

We expect Xiaomi to roll out this update to the international version of these handsets in the coming days like it is doing with the previous phones.
