Update: Display Glass
Another popular leakster, Ice Universe (i冰宇宙) shared a picture of Huawei Mate 40 Pro’s display glass. This once again confirms the return of waterfall display from its predecessor.

The Huawei Mate 40 series is expected to launch in October. The two devices in the series – Mate 40 and Mate 40 Pro recently leaked in 3D CAD renders revealing their entire design. Now, tempered glass of the latter pops up on Weibo reiterating the display design from the previous leak.
Mate 40 series is said to include four models namely HUAWEI Mate40, HUAWEI Mate40 Pro, HUAWEI Mate40 Pro+, and PORSCHE DESIGN HUAWEI Mate40 RS. However, we are only aware of the design of the first two models, thanks to leakster @OnLeaks.
Corroborating his Mate 40 Pro renders, a picture of the handset’s tempered glass has been circulated on Chinese microblogging site Weibo. It came to light when the tipster Digital Chat Station (数码闲聊站) shared it asking his followers for the original source.
From the picture, we can see that Mate 40 Pro will feature a waterfall display just like its predecessor. But it will not have curved top and bottom sides like the HUAWEI P40 series. That said, it will do come with a dual punch-hole camera.
According to previous reports and leaks, the upcoming HUAWEI Mate40 Pro will feature a 5nm HiSilicon Kirin 90000 chipset, EMUI 11, liquid lens technology, and 90Hz refresh rate.
