Mobvoi has a new smartwatch, and while it keeps the TicWatch brand name (seeing as they already dropped “TicPods”, we weren’t sure about the future of TicWatch), it doesn’t run WearOS. The new watch is called the TicWatch GTX and it is actually quite affordable.

TicWatch GTX Design
The TicWatch GTX has a circular dial with a tachymeter. It packs a 1.28-inch 240 x 240 TFT screen that is housed in what appears to be an aluminum case. There are just two buttons on the device for operating it.
The dial is attached to 20mm TPU bands and they are quick-release straps, so you should be able to easily replace them. The GTX is available in a single color variant which is gray, and sadly, Mobvoi isn’t selling replacement straps. Nevertheless, you should be able to style it up with third-party straps.
There are several watch faces to choose from: a total of eleven are pre-installed on the device itself and you can always choose more from the Mobvoi app. You also have the option of customizing your own watch face, using pictures available on your phone.
TicWatch GTX specs and features
The TicWatch can track a total of 14 workout modes. The full list of workouts are listed below:
- Outdoor running
- Indoor running
- Outdoor cycling
- Indoor cycling
- Indoor walking
- Yoga
- Swimming
- Rope skipping
- Rowing
- Soccer
- Basketball
- Gymnastics
- Mountain climbing
- Freestyle training
There is also 24-hour heart rate monitoring and sleep tracking. The TicWatch GTX has support for call alerts and app notifications, music playback control, timer, stopwatch, and weather notifications.

Mobvoi says the watch has a 200mAh battery and will last up to 10 days on a single charge with the power-saving mode on and up to 7 days with regular use. It has a magnetic charger that takes 2 hours to charge the watch from empty to full. The watch connects via Bluetooth 5.0 and has an IP68 rating.
TicWatch GTX Price and Availability
The watch has a price tag of $71.99 but is currently 10% off, so you can grab it for $64.79. That is actually quite affordable and positions the watch as a cheaper option to the Amazfit GTR Lite. You can purchase the watch on the official website. Mobvoi says it will begin shipping on September 3.
