Indian e-tail giant Flipkart recently teased the launch of a new Gionee smartphone product for the massive Indian market. The device will is shown to bear the moniker Gionee Max is being promoted to pack a large battery. More details of the Gionee Max has appeared online. 
A promotional post by Gionee on Twitter has revealed that the phone will pack a 5000mAH battery just like we predicted. It will likely be a budget phone despite the big battery capacity. The phone is also shown to come with a 6.1-inch HD screen covered by 2.5D Curved glass to prevent the display panel from scratches. The phone will also have a waterdrop notch while at the back, there will be a dual-camera setup aligned vertically in the top-left corner.
Flipkart’s product page for the Max shows the device will have 2GB of RAM as well as 32GB of storage onboard. The earlier teaser by the e-commerce giant shows the will be priced under INR6,000 (around $80).
The rest of the specs like the chipset and cameras are currently unknown. So, we’ll have to wait until the company officially unveils the product on August 25 which is just two days away.
