If you have been waiting for the launch of the Galaxy Z Fold 2, then you will be happy to know that Samsung has set a date for the unveiling of its latest foldable.

The Galaxy Z Fold 2 will be launched on September 1 at an event Samsung has dubbed Unpacked Part 2. The announcement was made on Twitter by the official Samsung Mobile Twitter account.

The tweet shows the foldable phone in Mystic Bronze and partly opened. The Galaxy Z Fold 2 has a speaker grille at the top and the right side is home to the volume rocker and the side-mounted fingerprint scanner.

The European price of the device has also been leaked by Roland Quandt of Winfuture.de. According to him, reliable sources have informed him that the Galaxy Z Fold 2 will be sold for €1999 (in Germany).

This price tag is €100 less than the launch price of its predecessor. However, seeing as the new model has just 256GB of storage while its predecessor has 512GB of storage may be one of the reasons for the lower price tag even though the features have been upgraded.

The new foldable will come with larger displays on both sides, a Snapdragon 865 Plus processor, a 120Hz refresh rate, triple rear cameras, Android 10, and a 4500mAh battery.
