Xiaomi officially launches Mi 10 Youth Doraemon Limited Edition commemorating the 50th anniversary of the franchise. It is currently up for pre-order and will be available for purchase starting September 1 in China.

The new Mi 10 Youth Doraemon Limited Edition features a blue-colored body similar to the regular “Blueberry Minit” color variant. But additionally, it also sports a giant Doraemon face at the bottom of the rear glass panel.

The phone is shipped in the same color box as the device with an identical giant Doraemon face printed on it. Buyers also get a Doraemon-themed case as well as a figurine (action figure) of the character.

Talking about the handset, it does not differ from the regular variant in terms of specifications. The only dissimilarity is its paint job and it comes with a Doraemon theme out of the box. But anyway, any user can apply that theme on phones running MIUI if Xiaomi makes it available in the MIUI Themes app.

That means we are looking at a mid-range 5G smartphone powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G with OIS-equipped 5x optical zoom lens and Doraemon vibes bringing back childhood memories for some.

Xiaomi is targeting this device for the fans of the franchise and students getting ready for their new school year this September. There’s no official word on international availability and it makes sense as the Mi 10 Youth is still limited to China even after four months from its launch.
