Xiaomi India launches Mi TV 4A Horizon Edition in 32-inch and 43-inch versions. The former features an HD panel, whereas the latter comes equipped with an FHD display. These new televisions are the successors to the company’s popular models – Mi TV 4A pro 32 and 43 in the country. The only major difference between the new Mi TVs and their predecessors is slimmer bezels.

Mi TV 4A 32/43 Horizon Edition Specifications

Apart from their display and lack of S/PDIF port on the smaller variant, both the newly introduced Mi TVs for India features exact same specs.

Talking about their screens first, the smaller model sports an HD (1366 x 768 pixels) panel with 93% screen-to-body ratio, compared to  FHD (1920 x 1080 pixels) display with 95% screen-to-body ration on the larger model. According to the company, both the panels have a 178° viewing angle.

Other than that, they are powered by the same Amlogic Cortex A53 quad-core processor with Mali-450 MP3 GPU paired with 1GB RAM and 8GB internal storage. They run Android TV Pie and ship with Xiaomi’s own PathchWall content aggregation launcher. These TVs support all the leading streaming platforms like Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Disney+ Hotstar, and more.

 

They also come with Chromecast Built-in, Google Assistant, and Google Data Saver. These televisions are also Xiaomi’s first Mi TVs in India to launch with Mi Quick Wake. This self-developed feature ensures quick booting of TVs (under 5 seconds). The company has been testing this feature on its older models for a few months now.

Despite the difference in their size, both feature the same 20W speakers (2 x 10W) with support for DTS-HD. Also, they come with Xiaomi’s proprietary Vivid Picture Engine, which is not a dedicated chip but display settings ensured to offer accurate colors and deeper contrasts.

For connectivity and ports, the new TV comes with single-band (2.4GHz) WiFi, Bluetooth 4.2, 3 x HDMI (one of them supports ARC), 2 x USB, 1 x Ethernet, AV, Antenna, and  3.5mm headphone jack.

Mi TV 4A 32/43 Horizon Edition Pricing and Availability

The Mi TV 4A 32 Horizon Edition is priced at ₹13,499 ($184) and will be available for purchase from Mi online store, Mi Home retail stores, and Flipkart. On the other hand, the Mi TV 4A 43 Horizon Edition costs ₹22,999 ($313) and will be available on Mi online store, Mi Home retail stores, and Amazon.

The first sale for the 32-inch variant is scheduled for September 11 at 12 PM, followed by September 14 at 6 PM for the 43-inch version.

Both of them will be soon made available in other partner retail outlets in the coming days.
