Microsoft is expected to announce new products next month but a recent report says we will only be getting two new products, one of which is just last year’s own with a new processor.
According to Windows Central, the Redmond-based tech giant will relaunch the Surface Pro X with a new Microsoft SQ2 processor. The new chipset is a more powerful and efficient processor than the Microsoft SQ1 inside last year’s model. The new 2-in-1 may also have support for 5G, though we will advise you not to get your hopes high.
It has also been reported that the new Surface Pro X will come in Platinum, a colorway that is available for the Surface Pro and Surface Pro 3.
Alongside the Surface Pro X, Microsoft will also announce the budget Surface Laptop we reported a little over a week ago. The 12.5-inch laptop is codenamed “Sparti” and is expected to sell for under $600.
Surface Pro 8, Surface Laptop 4, and Surface Studio 3 are not coming this fall. I'm told they've been pushed back to 2021. This fall is new Surface Pro X, Surface 'Sparti', and accessories.
