LG has silently unveiled a new smartphone called LG K42 in the Dominican Republic. The mid-range phone sports a wave pattern on its back, which gives it a unique appeal. The handset offers users with a tall aspect ratio display, quad rear cameras, and a large-sized battery.

The LG K42 measures 165 x 76.7 x 8.4mm and it weighs 182 grams. The MIL-STD-810G certified smartphone can withstand extreme environmental conditions. The grippy back panel of the LG K42 has an anti-scratch UV coating that accentuates its appeal. The smartphone flaunts a 6.6-inch display that produces HD+ resolution.

The LG K42 is yet another phone to feature the Helio P22 chipset. The handset comes with 3 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage. There is a microSD card slot onboard for more storage. The LG UX based Android 10 OS comes preinstalled on the LG K42.

The LG K42 has a 4,000mAh battery. It has a dedicated button for accessing the Google Assistant. The phone features a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. For music lovers, the LG K42 offers users with 3D Sound Engine and a 3.5mm audio jack. It comes with usual connectivity features such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, USB-C, and a 3.5mm audio jack. At present, there is no word on the pricing of the smartphone.
